Donnelly Under Saddle

While Donnelly (my Irish Draught Sport Horse gelding) is 3 now and has had about 45 days of kindergarten training, he's about a year away from really starting work. Physically, he is 17 hands and growing and doesn't know where his feet go yet. Mentally, he is about 2 still. Regardless, now that my school semester is over, I've been trying to get him out to the barn to learn to stand in the crossties, be groomed and bathed and tacked up, and I've been letting him walk/trot in the round pen. Last night friend Christine came over and hopped up on his back, so I had to snap a few pictures of my giant baby, finally under saddle.
