We're Adding to the Herd!

Believe it or not, we have bought another horse. Harkaway Diamond Lass ("Arwen") is a 16.3" grey six-year-old purebred Irish Draught mare.

Arwen's sire is KEC Double Diamond RID of Ocala, FL, imported from Ireland (check out photos of him at: http://www.adsagsona.com/oisin.htm). Her dam was Misty River Lass RID, imported from Ireland also, who has passed on (http://www.irishdraughts.com/misty.htm).

She is being shipped down from New York on Saturday! We are so excited, as we fell in love with this breed on our honeymoon in Ireland. Our "little" Donnelly is half thoroughbred/half Irish Draught, which is known as an Irish Draught Sport Horse.

We are going to board Arwen at Candy's farm in College Station, and Candy is going to help us get her going to do dressage and hopefully jumping as well.

I'll post some current photos of her after this weekend, but here is one from her inspection as a three-year-old.
