I started back to work in the office last Monday. The first two days were brutal. I had another doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I got fussed at a little for overdoing things, but my x-rays looked good and my doctor let me drop one crutch. It is remarkably easier to get around with one crutch than two, and now I can hold something with my free hand, which makes life all-around easier. I can also hobble up our stairs now, so finally got to move back into the master bedroom. This Wednesday I get to drop my other crutch (yay!), and if all goes well, lose the boot in 3 more weeks. I can't wait to be able to drive and ride my horses again.
On Friday, I came down with a sinus infection, so spent most of the weekend in bed. Luckily, I have the dogs to snuggle with me and watch over me all day, as you can see in the below picture. You can see my good leg with my Tweety bird pajamas, draped by Bourbon, with Dixie, Fox, and Killian surrounding me. Thank goodness for the King size bed!
