Trichel Tiger Thanksgiving

Every other year, when LSU plays Arkansas at home, we have Thanksgiving in Baton Rouge. That fell this year, and since the LSU game was moved from Friday to Saturday, the Trichels moved Thanksgiving from Thursday to Friday to accomodate. It worked out great, as we all got to be there Thursday night for gumbo at cousin Kim's house.

Friday was the big turkey day at Aunt Judy's, and we all ate too much and watched football while our tummies settled. Saturday we went out to LSU and had a big tailgate in the quad (and took pictures in the oak trees), then half of us went into the game and the others went back to Kim's to watch. LSU won (barely), so it was a great weekend all around.
The only bummer was that Mike had to stay home to take care of the farm. I hitched a ride with cousin Jarrod and Mikalah to Baton Rouge, so when they picked me up Thursday, Mike fried up a turkey and we had a mini-Thanksgiving with him before getting on the road. He also got to pop up Saturday to see his folks, so it worked out OK.
