Getting Well

Well, it has been a week since my surgery, and I'm hanging in there. I'm getting pretty tired of this bed rest with my leg elevated business. I'm decent on the crutches now, but am ready to walk on my own two feet. I'm anxious to hear what my surgeon says tomorrow about how everything looks and if I can get a walking boot. Work has been great about this whole debacle, and they are letting me work from home until I can get around better.

Poor Mike has been busting his butt to take care of me and the farm as well. I really miss my animals, as the dogs are being kept away from me for now so they don't knock me down, and it's too wet for me to crutch out to see the horses. Thanks to everyone for the continued calls, texts, and emails checking on me. I really appreciate it. Special thanks to my LSU girls for sending me a turtle cookie get well basket - they are yummy, too! To top things off, my mom had surgery Friday on her Achille's heel, so we are both gimped up on separate feet currently. We'll make for quite a pair in Florida for Christmas, and will be cheering the guys on as they do everything!!
