Another Saphira Update

Saphira has done really well over the weekend. They have taken her catheters out. She is eating three scoops of feed a day, plus two flakes of timothy hay and two flakes alfalfa, and she is still acting like she is starving! It is good that she is hungry and processing the food well. She's still on antibiotics, probiotics, and a little pain medicine.
We've been visiting her several hours a day, grooming her and taking her out to walk and graze. Dr. Boutros says if she continues doing well, she may get to come home mid-week. Then, it will be a lot of special care at home to get her fully recovered. Getting closer to being out of the woods, but please do keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
