We are going to attempt to breed Savvy this year to the phenomenal Oldenburg stallion, Rubignon! www.rainbowequus.com/Rubignon.htm. Be sure to watch the videos posted on that site, and also see additional pictures here: http://tamarawiththecamera.smugmug.com/2009-Inspections/Oldenburg-NAISR-Inspection-SVE/9378194_SuDt3#627847161_Jkn7y
Rubignon had an extremely successful Dressage career in Sweden and Germany, with 22 Grand Prix wins under his belt. He was also listed for the Swedish Dressage team in 2008 and 2009. What I love most about him is the outstanding temperament they say he possesses and passes on to his get. As you can see, he is also an awesome mover, but the best part is that he scored highest at his inspection on his jumping capability, so he can do it all!
After much research, we feel Rubignon will be the best cross for Savvy, who is approved for breeding through the ISR-Oldenburg registry. We will attempt the breeding in April, so we'll keep you posted on whether it is a success! This will be Savvy's first foal.
