Donnelly Update

We took Donnelly to see Dr. Watkins at A&M on Friday morning. The observing students were pretty bored by Donnelly's injury, which I thought was a good sign. Dr. Watkins checked him out and took some more x-rays and says the outlook is good that Donnelly will heal up and never know anything happened. They wrapped his leg really heavily and want us to keep that on for the next few weeks. On top of that, he is ordered 60 days stall rest to heal, which will be the toughest part as he loves to run around and play. But, if that's what it takes to get him well, he'll just have to deal with it! I feel better now that an expert has said he will most likely make a full recovery and be a successful eventer someday soon!
